Welcome to Everstead Press

Everstead Press began from a simple necessity: maintaining control over the content, presentation, and distribution of a book intended to be both memorable and helpful—What I Would Tell My Younger Self: Life Lessons I Wish I Had Known Earlier.

The flagship book shares lessons learned over the course of a lifetime. They are not intended for one particular age or stage of life, but are lessons that can be recognized, considered, and applied throughout life.

But there are also times when general life lessons are not enough.

Life brings transitions—leaving home for college, beginning a career, considering marriage, thinking about having children, and eventually moving through many other stages we once thought were far in the future.

Additional books are planned around those transitions. In them, rather than lessons being shared between the older and younger selves, the conversations will offer advice as the younger self approaches each new stage of life: what to recognize, what to avoid, and perhaps most importantly, what to appreciate along the way.

Too often, we spend one stage of life anticipating the next, only to discover later how much there was to appreciate in the stage we were so eager to leave behind.

As with the first book, you will be invited to eavesdrop on those conversations.

Perhaps, by eavesdropping on these conversations, you will find something useful for the stage of life you are experiencing—or something worth sharing with someone you know who is just beginning theirs.
